"We are excited that Nelly Burdette has decided to run for State Senator in our district. While this is her first foray into the political world; Nelly’s life story, professional successes and history of community involvement are testament to the significant skills and experience she would bring to the office of RI State Senator. She offers the people of District 17 a candidate with a much needed fresh voice and fresh perspective.”
